My Backpack

As a man, there are three things that are almost part of my body – cell phone, wallet, and keys. There used to be a fourth item on this list “watch”. But I stopped wearing a watch, but that’s a story for another day.

Over time, a fourth item made it to the list – “backpack”. Yes, my backpack, I love it.

Backpack

Here is the story behind it – I started my career as a printed circuit board designer. Yes, that is what I did for a living for years before I went into the management career path.

For a long period of time, I wasn’t carrying a backpack or briefcase to work. I would go with empty hands and come back with empty hands.

When I stared as a new hire, fresh out of college, I was given a desktop at work. I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to get a laptop.

Over the years, I got a laptop, and slowly one by one gadgets have crept up on me –

Now there is the laptop, laptop charger, ipad, iphone charger, stationary, headset, mouse, water bottle, the book that I am currently reading, point of sale (just kidding), important mails that I haven’t sorted, especially the ones I don’t want Sarah to throw away – yes, I said it :).

I love Sarah, she doesn’t love my mail though.

Sarah doesn’t read my blog…so friends…don’t rat me out…

All of the fun stuff above is very well organized and are very secure in my backpack.

Nobody has access rights to it, so things don’t walk away….you know what I am talking about if you have young kids…I love my kids, but my backpack is out of their reach…

Now you know the reason why I have a backpack and why I love it so much.

Search

I searched for the perfect back that would meet my needs.

During my search, I came across this Case Logic backpack.

It had several great reviews and initially I was skeptical about it.

It has a pocket /crevice for everything I could think of.

The reviews were great, so I paid the full list price (~$50) and bought it. This was a few years back.

Review & Recommendation

Was it worth it? Absolutely yes, worth every dime I paid for it!

I have had it for at least more than 5 years now. I take it daily to work, use it while I am travelling for business or leisure.

Remember, it is the fourth item that is almost a part of my body.

There is plenty of space and decent sized pockets for the things I would carry around.

It is high quality and very durable. I have put it through extremely heavy use and it has held up well, still looks pretty good.

It has real good cushion and is very comfortable on my shoulders when I carry it around.

It is now available for $34 at Amazon, which is a steal for what it is worth.

If you are looking for backpack, and your needs match mine, look no further.
